A Medium For What?

Good morning, midday, afternoon, evening, day or night, my dear Sir or Madam. How you came across this post of mine in such a myriad of fascinating articles is beyond me, but since you’re here I shall strive to maintain your interest or at least slightly amuse.

My name is Virginia, I’m in my last year at university studying Business Administration in my home city, Buenos Aires, born in 1994 so for some I’m likely a child and for others I’m…23. As someone on the verge of being unleashed into the professional world, I thought it an exercise of extra-curricular personal development to publish some thoughts, ideas and opinions and see what possible feedback the infinite and slightly (very) terrifying Internet has for me.

The plan so far is to write an article a month, and my tentative list of topics is as follows:

  1. The Modern Philosopher’s Life — my final essay for a course I had last year exploring work ethic, automization, ecology and a much-needed re-adjustment
  2. What does the Internet of Things have in store for Education?
  3. Before reaching AGI, we should “deserve” it utilizing technological capacities available
  4. The Male/Female relationships — my reflections after reading Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg
  5. What is everybody doing on their phones?
  6. The Title That Must Not Be Named (Millenials)
  7. My South American Business Forum application
  8. Black Mirror (possibly a series)
  9. The World Economic Forum topics

Most of these are personal reflections, conversations I’ve had with friends, class topics I’ve found ofparticular interest etc. None of the things I will post here intend to provide “the answer” or declare themselves as intellectually superior to any reader. I’ve simply always enjoyed writing, in my teenage years I wrote various blogs, explored the “notes” feature on my Facebook and have very inconsistently written a personal diary. Using this website I hope to finally consolidate my interest in writing with a more serious schedule, making the most of this last academic year to really dig deep into the things that interest me. Perhaps a collection of some of my academic thoughts will help me (in the most clichéd manner possible) grow and develop as a person.

Maybe even a coherent one.
